London’s iconic skate spot, BaySixty6, re-opens in collaboration with Nike Skateboarding, introducing the UK’s most state-of-the-art facility to date. Helmed by Nike SB, with the help of Skatepark Amsterdam’s expert design team, the sub-Westway skatepark underwent a two-month overhaul to include a 6-ft hipped wooden bowl, quarters, flat banks, rails, hubbas, driveways, wall rides and revolutionary hydraulic ledge, never before seen. Fresh concrete throughout, updated lighting schemes and a robust sound system finish the redesigned space, while a renovated shop and event area complete the venue’s reimagined functionality. Opened on September 15, the new BaySixty6 hosted a Nike Skateboarding team demo with Justin Brock, Wieger Van Wageningen, Theotis Beasley, Sean Malto, Fernando Bransmark, Korahn Gayle, Neil Smith, Chris Jones, Jak Pietryga, Joey Pressey, Daniel Kinlock and new team rider Kyron Davis.
