A throwback to the days of underoos and sippy cups, LA’s infamous Known Gallery introduces it’s newest exhibit, Sesame Street. In collaboration with the children’s classic TV show, The Seventh Letter and Neff Headwear came together to bring the 2-day exhibit to life. Benefitting City of Hope’s Department of Pediatrics, the show features more than 50 of street art’s finest, showcasing their unique portrayals of Big Bird, Oscar and the gang. Open Saturday April 28 at 6pm-11pm & Sunday April 29 11am-9pm.
Catching up with featured artist and friend, MADSTEEZ, prior to the Sesame Street opening, he gave Scoutwell a taste of what to expect, and it’s safe to say this show is shaping up to be a good one… although not quite as child-friendly as we might have expected. Below, MADSTEEZ’s ‘Oscar the WEEN Grouch’ and Playboy Magazine’s Miss June 2012 Amelia Talon, as well as the man himself.
