Rarely is travel the goal, but the desire to experience that drives. Fueled by a budget that only the likes of Nike could afford, and in fact did, filmmaker Casey Neistat and friend Max “irresponsibly” set out on a 10-day trip around the world, to capture an adventure that most will only dream of. Landing a cream gig with Nike to promote the brand’s new FuelBand, Neistat justifiably dedicated the entire budget to an impromptu world tour with buddy Max. Weaved amongst footage of New York City, Paris, Cairo, Johannesburg, Bangkok and beyond, are inspirational quotes from some of the world’s greatest leaders/writers/sex symbols (Abraham Lincoln, Hunter S. Thompson and Marilyn Monroe, respectively). Translating the raw thrill of the unknown, if this film doesn’t inspire you to buy the ticket and take the ride, check your pulse. #MakeItCount
Down the nondescript Du Panier alley, in the heart of Marseille, France, sits Au Vieux Panier… a tiny boutique hotel, boasting 5 distinctly different rooms. Once a year the hotel invites a selection of artists and painters to create uniquely outstanding atmospheres for each one of it’s rooms. In fine fashion, 2012 welcomed Tilt and friends to transform Room ‘A’ into the newly renamed ‘Panic Room.’ The crew’s graff installation takes up exactly half of the all white room, leaving the other half completely untouched.
