EPØKHE and skateboard heavy Dylan Rieder team up on a collaborative sunglass silhouette. Designed and developed under the guiding eye of Dylan, his debut signature shade was perfected over the course of the last 18 months. Released in three limited edition colorways, the handcrafted premium acetate DYLAN drops in Vintage Black, Deep Tortoise and Gloss Clear. Bringing an unlikely partner into the collaborative mix, Shwood teamed with Portland microbrew Widmer Brothers to deliver a co-branded capsule release. Pairing both companies’ unique pursuits, the kit includes a pair of polarized Canby oak sunglasses, leather sunglass case, two exclusively bottled IPA beers, and co-branded bottle opener – all shipped in an individually numbered wooden crate. Tapped for it’s latest brand collab, Repop Mfg owner Jamie Mathis has partnered with Electric on an inspired line of winter eyewear and handcrafted leather goods. Originally postured as an individual goggle collaboration, the relationship has since expanded to offer a small line of premium leather wallets, card holders, key rings, watch straps, iPhone and of course sunglass cases. Eco-eyewear brand Vuerich B and Quiksilver have come together to produce a collaborative collection of 50 one-of-a-kind sunglasses. Redesigning Quik’s original ‘Griffin’ silhouette, each limited edition pair is hand crafted from a single broken skateboard deck, fitted with Carl Zeiss CR39 polarized lenses and individually numbered. Honoring the unique story behind each repurposed piece, delivery includes a polaroid photo of the original board, as well as a short history on the board’s original owner. Sales from the release help fund ongoing efforts by the Skateistan project, working to create skate programmes for children in developing countries.
