The latest video project from surf-apparel giant Billabong, and What Youth, Daze At Sea is a 24:22 minute co-lab surf and lifestyle film shot on location in France, Hawaii, Indonesia, California, and Australia’s Gold, South & West Coasts. Directed by What Youth’s Viktor Pakpour, the film stars Laurie Towner, Joel Parkinson, Jack Freestone, Ryan Callinan, Creed Mctaggart, Peterson Crisanto, Ian Gentil, Tyler Warren and Granger Larson. Surf-news mainstay Transwold Surf introduces it’s latest film Let’s Surf Seriously at The Lido Theater in Newport Beach, CA on August 1, 2012. Timed to premiere in line with the US Open of Surfing, the film features a number of competing ASP athletes as well as a contingent of preeminent free surfing talent. Starring Chippa Wilson, Mason Ho, Dylan Graves, Benji Weatherley, Greg Long, Ozzie Wright, Nate Tyler, Matt Meola and Dillon Perillo. Check out the films 1:10 minute trailer above.

In the final installment of the campaign, Nike Skateboarding team riders Paul Rodriguez, Eric Koston, Sean Malto, Alex Olson, Stefan Janoski and Omar Salazar showcase their skills as they skate the streets and parks of Shenzhen, China. With a camera mounted on the skaters chest, the commercial is shot through the athletes point of view and offers a personal take on what its like to be one of the worlds best skateboarders.
The final edit features Nike athlete Paul Rodriguez and the launch of his sixth signature shoe, the P-Rod VI. Paul has had an amazing run over the last month with a gold in the XGames Street competition, a win at the Street League Series and the debut of his newest collection.
The “Skate Every Damn Day” commercial was shot by Jon Humphries and features music by Diplo.

Nixon, TPSLCD Soundsystem’s documentary, Shut Up And Play The Hits, comes to theaters for one day only on July 18th. The doc follows their final appearance at Madison Square Garden and the disbanding of the band. The late Adam Yauch’s production company, Oscilloscope, is releasing the film and you can find out if it’ll be playing your city after following the link below.
